Hey, What’s up, Hello…
I would like to officially welcome you to Cruising Cocoa where I’ll be documenting my journey as a crew member working overseas, with Royal Caribbean, for 6 months.
Yes, six months living and working on a boat.
This blog will be filled with written entries, pictures, and video posts, guess you could call this a blvlog? Is that a thing, or nah? Whatever lol…
WELCOME TO CRUISING COCOA!!!
My journey starts August 7th, that’s when I leave Canada. Thankful the company got my accommodations all sorted out because God knows how I would have done that on my own.
I have to be in the country at least a day before the cruise begins which is August 9th, when I board the ship ‘Allure of the Seas’, sailing on from Barcelona, Spain. In 2014, this ship was awarded Best Overal Individual Cruise Ship by Travel Weekly
The company I work for is Starboard Cruise Services. They are the ‘leading onboard retailer, offering cruise ship guests world-class brands and exclusive merchandise with tax and duty-free savings’. Baaasically, I’m a sales associate in fancy stores, Chanel, Omega, Prada, and Bvlgari to name a few. My work days are expected to be very long, 7 days a week – 14 hours a day – 70 hours a week. Nonetheless, you’ll find out how it goes lol.
…keep Cruising with Cocoa 🙂
